I thought about this quote upon reading The Second Superpower Rears Its Beautiful Head by James Moore.

Has Jacques Chirac meditated this before opposing US policy on Iraq? Did he bet that France would represent the spirit of the world - the "will of the people" - and thus would eventually prevail ? Mmmh...

I had lunch today with Christophe Binot from Total and Elisabeth Bila from Eurodoc. Reflecting upon our experience at organizing and running our community of KM practioners in the Paris area for the last six months now, it appeared that we needed to extend our membership base, plan for a major public event at the end of the year, and ask a french management icon to sponsor us.

I finally made it. With the exquisite help of Scott Goodwin, who runs the OpenSourceHost service, my blog is up and running. I had a hard time with the file path strings, which can be quite challenging for a newbie.

I am now a member of the weblogging community, and I feel some pride deep within...
