For innovation, small is beautiful

I just bumped into John Kao's short video on the home page of his web site where he makes the point that

Innovation as a theme emerges in smaller countries like Denmark, Singapore and New Zealand, which can do the hard work of change and assess the result of that change in driving forward the innovation capabilities of their country

Interesting to see that what is true for companies is also true for nations.

If only we knew how to take advantage of this in Europe...
